Invited seminar series: Dr. Caroline Howard discusses Biodiversity Genomics

This month, as a part of the GAP-DC seminar series, we were excited to host Dr. Caroline Howard, Senior Scientific Manager at the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
Dr. Howard, who leads the laboratory team for the Tree of Life project, delivered a presentation entitled 'Scaling data Generation for reference-level genome assembly from biodiversity'.
The seminar offered fascinating insights into sample processing, the challenges of working with diverse sample types, and innovative strategies to overcome these hurdles.
The session concluded with a vibrant questions and answers session. Participants exchanged ideas and explored the complexities of this important area of genomic research.
