Invited seminar series: Dr. David Cooke discusses DNA Metabarcoding for Biosecurity

October 18, 2024

Continuing our seminar series at GAP-DC, we were delighted to host Dr. David Cooke from the James Hutton Institute.

Dr. Cooke delivered a compelling presentation about the application of eDNA metabarcoding for oomycete pathogens of plants and animals for improved biosecurity.

The seminar was highly engaging, offering valuable insights into the innovative use of eDNA metabarcoding to strengthen biosecurity measures.

The session concluded with a dynamic questions and answers session. Participants actively exchanged ideas and delved deeper into this critical area of research.
