Conference activities

Gala dinner

We are pleased to announce that the conference gala dinner will be held in York on Wednesday 8th September at 6.30pm. Look out for further announcements.

Interactive sessions

In addition to presentations and posters, the conference will include interactive sessions that provide opportunities for discussion, collaboration and the exploration of shared challenges.

These sessions may take the form of facilitated discussions, panel discussions or working groups.

We welcome suggestions for topics, questions and emerging issues that would benefit from collective consideration by the conference community. The organising committee will use these suggestions to shape the programme and may contact contributors regarding opportunities to participate in a session.

There is the opportunity to make suggestions when completing the registration form.

Social excursions

We will organise an excursion to a local attraction around York on the Friday. This will be a social event, and is an opportunity to catch up with friends old and new.
You will have the opportunity to see some of the local sights and beautiful countryside.

Visiting York

York is a beautiful city with a rich Roman, Viking, medieval and Victorian history. Few cities in the world have the concentration of historic buildings that can be found in the city centre.

Stand in some spots and every building in the street seems to be at least 200 years old. But it’s a modern city too, with vibrant night life, plenty of good places to eat and excellent and interesting shops.
