International Wildlife Disease Modelling Conference 2027

Keynote speakers

Dr Mark Quentin Wilber, University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, USA

Dr Mark Wilber is a quantitative disease ecologist whose research combines mathematical modelling, statistical analysis, laboratory experimentation and field data to improve understanding of disease dynamics in wildlife populations. His work explores how variation in hosts, pathogens and landscapes shapes disease emergence, persistence and spread, with particular contributions to amphibian disease systems and the development of modern approaches to modelling wildlife diseases across ecological scales. Through innovative and interdisciplinary research, he has helped advance the methodological foundations of wildlife disease ecology and strengthened our ability to predict and manage emerging disease threats.
